The second benefit of the Fatherhood of God to us is that we are heirs of God.The second benefit of the Fatherhood of God to us is that we are heirs of God.

The dictionary defines an heir as “a person legally entitled to the property or rank of another on that person’s death”. That means anybody can be selected to become an heir of another person. But traditionally and usually, children become heirs of the father because of the system of inheritance. But the Bible says we are heirs of God. Let us see how Apostle Paul put this in Romans 8:15-17:
For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.
The KJV uses the phrase “joint heirs”. In 2013, there was the election petition case at the Supreme Court of Ghana. A political party and some individuals applied to the court to be joined to the suit. Their reason was that they had an interest in the outcome of that case. You and I are joined with Jesus Christ in the case of who is an heir of God; we are interested parties. The Court of Heaven has considered our application and rules in our favour that we are indeed fellow heirs.
What does that mean?
In simple terms, it means that you and I can lay claim to every property God owns. The sharing of God’s assets cannot be done without considering us because in the will of Jehovah, every child of God (whether born by natural means or by the legal process of adoption) is qualified to receive a share.
Does that get you excited?
Look at some of the claims Jehovah made about himself.
Psalm 24:1 – “the earth is the LORD’S, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.”
Psalm 50:10 – “For every beast of the forest is Mine, The cattle on a thousand hills.”
Let me show you some of the things you qualify for as an heir.
 . Haggai 2:8 – “The silver is mine and the gold is mine”

 . II Corinthians 3:21, – “”all things are yours”

 . Romans 4:13 – Heir of the world

   Hebrews 1:14 – Heirs of salvation

   Hebrews 11:7 – heir of righteousness

 . James 2:5 – heirs of the kingdom

   I Peter 3:7 – heirs of the grace of life
Above all, you also are a king or a queen because you are an heir to the throne. Revelation 1:6 says:
“And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
You see why you should not worry about anything?
ALL means nothing has been excluded; everything is yours. All for those things are yours by way of inheritance. All you have to do is to position yourself in Lord as a son and daughter, pray and believe God to receive your share of the inheritance. Even the Prodigal son after wasting his share of the father’s wealth returned to enjoy a bit of what was left. Jehovah is a million times better than the father of the prodigal son; he will surely do better.
All things are yours because you an heir of the Heavenly Father, the King of kings.

Your best is yet to come
