Seeing Beyond Your Sight

Related imageToday’s Scripture: Genesis 13:10 KJV

“And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the Lord , like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.”

A lot of people make long-term decisions based on what they see in the short term only to be awakened later by the dire consequences of their poor insight and lack of revelation. Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where,… even as the garden of the Lord”.

In this new year you and I need to deliberately shut our eyes to what looks green and obvious and trust God for a revelation of what is unknown! Lot didn’t know that the anger of the lord was burning against the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and ignorantly pitched his tent close to these cities because their plains looked green and well-watered!

Abraham on the contrary left room for God to order his steps, he allowed Lot to choose ahead of him; allowing others to go ahead sometimes is not a sign of weakness, it is a way of saying God give me the best result at the end of the day! May you go through this year with abundance revelations rather than physical sight!

Prayer for Today :

Father I thank you for your word today, I resolve to trust you for a deeper revelation of yourself and your word to me in Jesus name, Amen.
