“Woe unto him”

Today’s Scripture: Habakkuk 2:15 KJV

“Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!”

Everyone gets to a point of vulnerability when they are tired, stressed or weakened from various arrows of attacks that the enemy shoots at them (financial, marital or problems at work or home). They sometimes cannot pray in such instances because although their spirit is willing, they are weak in the flesh. In such instances they need someone to stand with them in prayer, to encourage them or simply share the word of God with them!

But not everyone who comes close to you in your moment of vulnerability has good motives; some come close to you so that they can expose you further and watch you destroyed. They pour you drink(gossip, anger, words of discouragement, lust or anything that will bruise you further) so that you become drunk and exposed that they may look upon your shame, or nakedness with scorn. To such people the bible says Woe!

Be determined in your heart to help people genuinely by covering their weaknesses and shame in their moment of desperation and vulnerability. Help them bounce back up by standing with them in prayer and encouragement and the lord will bless you.

Prayer for Today : Father I thank you for your word today, grant me the grace to stand with people in their moment of desperation,  to be a source of light and encouragement in Jesus name, Amen.
