You have made it! Praise the Lord.

We have made it!!! We crossed over safely from 2016 into 2017. This is not a blessing we should take for granted. Some folks passed away to the other world just before the clock struck midnight on 31st December. So give God all the thanks, praise and glory.

This is wonderful. Today is the first day of the week, the first day of the month and the first day of the year.

May you be FIRST in everything you do in this year. May you be FIRST on the list for any blessing and favour.

I want to thank you for allowing me to share the teachings the Lord has been laying on my heart each day with you. Some of you do not know me. You read my messages because some of my family members and friends have been sharing them with you. I have received feedbacks from several of you that these teachings are blessing you. We give God all the glory.

This is a ministry – to teach the word of God – which the Lord has given to me. In order to concentrate on the assignment, I have stepped aside as the pastor of the Teens/Youth at Calvary Baptist Church with effect from today. My prayer is that the Lord will use me to teach his word to his children everywhere that I will be accepted. In that regard, I crave your prayers.

I will be sharing more details on this new assignment with you in due course.

On this first day of the year, I want to assure you that you will arrive. You will arrive at the destiny God has prepared for you. If you follow the teachings of the Lord, you will not make a shipwreck of your life. You will arrive at Port Destiny.

The passage I want you to meditate on is Psalm 84:4-7.

[4] What joy for those who can live in your house, always singing your praises. [5] What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. [6] When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. [7] They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.

There are a number of principles I want to share with. If you want to arrive at Port Destiny do these things. If you want to make it to heaven, live by these principles.

The first principle is ALWAYS SING PRAISES TO GOD. It takes a grateful heart to sing praises even when things are tough. It requires a spirit which acknowledges that God is in control and everything is working out for good to praise God.

The second principle you must live by is DRAW STRENGTH FROM THE LORD. Your strength comes from God. Know that you have no power nor strength of your own. The Lord is your strength. Therefore, you must depend on him and go to him each day for strength.

The third principle is you must SET YOUR MIND ON MAKING IT OR ARRIVING. I guess you love that song “I’VE GOT MY MY MIND MADE UP AND I WON’T TURN BACK”.

Yes, you must must make up your mind that you are making it by every justifiable and Biblical means. The going may be hard, rough and tough but you must not be discouraged.

As we say in our church “PRESS ON TO VICTORY IN JESUS!!!”

If you practise these three principles, I guarantee you that you will arrive. The text says “They will continue to grow stronger, and each of them will appear before God in Jerusalem.”

My friend, you will continue to grow throughout the year from strength to strength. Your strength will not diminish; it will rather increase.

And because you have the strength, you will walk and and run until you appear before God in Jerusalem, your Port Destiny.

As you walk along, you will turn every negative thing into positive; you will convert the curse into the blessing. Again our text says in verse 6 “When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs.”

The valley of weeping will become a place of refreshing springs not only for yourself but for other wearied pilgrims. You will refresh lives.

May the LORD bless yo and protect you. May the LORD smile on you and be gracious to you. May the LORD show you his favor and give you his peace.

Happy New Year!!!

Your best is yet to come
